Bike Fit Note Calculator
Log your numbers, check ranges, and keep a printable record. Nothing leaves your browser.
How this workspace helps
What you can do here
This page is a private worksheet for your bike fit numbers. You type in your current setup, pick a preset to see a different geometry style, or save a snapshot and come back later to compare. The range checks on the right side flag numbers that sit outside typical road-bike ranges so you can ask better questions at your next shop visit.
Everything works in one page. There is no login and no server. Your notes stay on your device until you choose to print, export, or share a link.
When to use it
Use this when you are:
- preparing for a professional bike fit and want a clean summary to bring along
- trying a new saddle, stem, or crank length and want to record what changed
- comparing two bikes to see which geometry feels closer to your preference
- tracking small adjustments over weeks instead of relying on memory
Common mistakes and quick tips
Measurement mistakes
- Inseam: Measure barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, from floor to a hard book pressed against your sit bones. Many people measure with shoes or with feet too close together and get a number 10-20 mm too short.
- Saddle height: Measure from the center of the bottom bracket spindle to the top of the saddle along the seat tube. Measuring to the rails or at an angle adds error.
- Torso length: Sit on a flat seat, back against a wall, and measure from the wall to the front of your shoulder. Standing measurements change the number.
Workflow tips
- Save a session before making changes so you can roll back.
- Use the share link to send your setup to a coach or a forum. They can open it and see the same numbers without any login.
- Print your notes and tape them inside your garage cabinet so you have a paper record if your browser data gets cleared.
- The range checks are general starting points. A tall person with long arms and a short torso can look "off" on paper but ride fine.
